New RCN project commemorates military nurses
The Royal College of Nurses is launching a new project commemorating the immense contribution of nursing staff to the British military.
The RCN is highlighting the unsung heroes of the UK’s military efforts, from the nurses of the First World War to those serving in conflicts around the world.
The new project will capture the experiences of modern day nurses in the form of oral histories. The audio recordings collected will become part of the RCN’s extensive archive and showcase the diverse contributions of military nurses over the course of the past 100 years.
