New blood at the CQC

The chief executive of NHS Blood and Transplant, Ian Trenholm, has been named as the successor to Sir David Behan as chief executive of the CQC.

Trenholm is no stranger to inspection: he started his career as an inspector with the then Royal Hong Kong Police.
