Most commissioners could improve diabetes services
Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) stand to make big improvements in diabetes care, a condition that accounts for 10% of the NHS budget.
198 of the 211 CCGs are outliers in at least one of the five areas of diabetes, NHS Right Care told a PCC/Novo Nordisk event earlier this month. This means that most could make improvements to care that would benefit patients and taxpayers. The event is repeated on 5 May in Leeds and is free to attend for commissioners and providers of diabetes services. For more information and to book: http://tinyurl.com/hmtr66z
