Medical indemnity in new models of primary care

New care models raise new issues of medical indemnity, affordability and risk.

As primary care organisations begin to work at scale in GP federations and the more complex organisations being tested by the vanguard programme, they need to be sure that they are managing risk appropriately and have sufficient indemnity cover.

A half-day seminar on 13 October in London for senior clinical staff and others responsible for indemnity, clinical governance and litigation will examine the issues faced by clinicians as organisations grow in size and seek to deploy the clinical workforce in new and extended roles.

Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the principal models of indemnity provision using case histories. There will be ample opportunity for questions, discussion and networking.

The cost is £20 (plus VAT). Refreshment breaks and lunch are provided.
