LGiU Homelessness Commission 2019 report

The LGiU Local Government Homelessness Commission was set up to investigate how councils can fulfil their obligation to prevent homelessness.

Its report is the first assessment of the state of homelessness prevention from the perspective of local government. It argues that the UK desperately needs a proper housing and homelessness strategy, which addresses the underlying causes and gives councils the powers and resources they need to carry it out.
