Leadership skills for PCN clinical directors

Clinical directors will be responsible for planning and implementing the strategy for their primary care network (PCN).

This will mean developing not just the inward facing capabilities required of all leaders, but a wider skillset to work across organisations, develop relationships and build collaboration. A two-day intensive programme from PCC, aligned with the latest NHS England guidance on PCN leadership development, promises to equip clinical directors with a better understanding of their role, knowledge of the leadership principles and tools available to them, and the confidence to put them to work immediately in their PCN. The programme will also provide them with the opportunity to form a network with peers to share experience and provide mutual support from the outset.
