Integrated commissioning for better health outcomes

Integrating care can improve the experience of patients and reduce the cost of delivering high quality care. A few places are still available for next Wednesday's event.

CCGs, CCS leaders and providers are invited to an essential event chaired by Professor David Colin-Thomé for all involved in commissioning or integrating care. Speakers include Bob Ricketts, Department of Health, on supporting effective integration, representatives from the NHS Commissioning Board and Monitor on the next steps for integrated care, Councillor David Rodgers, chair of the LGA Community Wellbeing Board on making integration a reality and Steve Laitner, GP and associate medical director, NHS Midlands and East on the accountable lead provider model. Other sessions and workshops include developing integrated care partnerships, governance for integration, case studies including supporting patients with Type 2 diabetes, learning from the national integrated care pilots, legal structures to support integration and working effectively with the commercial sector.
