Influencing skills

Influencing is a vital part of communication in the workplace. Influencing is a combination of persuasion and negotiation - being able to persuade and negotiate with others to reach a win-win solution. Learning influencing techniques leads to smarter and more effective working.

This session covers key principles of influence; how we are influenced and how to influence others, attitudinal change, the importance of active listening, and how showing empathy and building our emotional intelligence can increase our levels of persuasion. The training is suitable for all who work in the health and care service.  It is particularly useful for those who need to make changes that involves other teams or organisations, those looking to engage with others to develop, or change, care pathways, or overcome hurdles in delivering care. The session will be held on 22 April.
