How standardised tobacco packaging would work in practice

In April Sir Cyril Chantler published his independent review into whether the introduction of standardised packaging is likely to have an effect on public health, particularly for children.

The review concluded that if standardised packaging were introduced, it would have a positive impact on public health.

Interested parties are encouraged to respond to the consultation, in particular with any new information since the previous one in 2012. The consultation includes a draft of the regulations to show how standardised packaging would work in practice.
