Guidance for CCGs on involving people in transformation

NHS England is in the process of refreshing Transforming Participation in Health and Care, its statutory guidance for CCGs on involving patients and carers in decisions relating to their care.

The new guidance will cover how CCGs can meet their legal duty to involve the public in commissioning and their duty to promote the involvement of each patient in their own care. Olivia Butterworth, head of public participation at NHS England, has written a blog about the approach. Comments on the existing guidance and views on future content can be directed to england.nhs.participation@nhs.net by Friday 13 January 2017. Correspondents should include name, organisation and contact details.
