Groin hernia and varicose vein surgery removed from patient reported outcome measures

Changes are being made to the list of elective surgeries covered by patient reported outcome measures, the “before and after” research to measure how much patients feel they have benefited from their operation.

PROMs for groin hernia and varicose vein operations are being phased out from 1 October 2017, but measures for hips and knee procedures will remain.
