GPs seek support for collaborative working

Adequate support must be given to GP practices seeking to work collaboratively, the BMA has warned – following the latest findings of the GP survey.

Half of all doctors responding to the BMA’s GP survey backed the independent contractor model coupled with resources for collaboration in the form of federations and networks, as the prime arrangement for individual practices.

PCC provides a range of support for help practices reach consensus on how to work together and take the first practical steps to manage workload, share resources and plan the mix of services that will secure future sustainability. Our services included targeted support for individual practices and facilitation of local workshops to get collaboration underway or move it to the next stage.
