General practice in England nearing ‘saturation point’

People in England are visiting their GP practice more often, and are having longer consultations than in 2007, resulting in a 16% rise in clinical workload - these are the main findings from a study involving researchers from the Centre for Academic Primary Care.

They warn the increases are unsustainable, and that general practice in England could be reaching saturation point. More....
