Frailty and sarcopenia exercise survey

Work by the British Geriatrics Society (BGS) in 2018 identified that although there is good evidence that exercise can help to prevent and treat frailty and sarcopenia, many organisations did not offer exercise programmes to older people with these conditions.

Groups representing physiotherapists and older people are working together to better understand current provision and referral pathways. They are asking CCGs to support this work by sharing a short survey with providers who refer people to exercise programmes and deliver exercise programmes for older people. Closing date is the end of June.
