Four tools to enhance significant event analysis in primary care

NHS Education for Scotland has published four tools for significant event analysis (SEA) in primary care.

SEA is a collective learning technique used to investigate patient safety incidents. These are circumstances where a patient was or could have been harmed. The technique also addresses other quality of care issues.

The project team at NHS Education for Scotland (NES) had more than 15 years’ experience of working on SEA in primary care.
