Diagnostics waiting times up by 5,500
The Department of Health has published diagnostics waiting times & activity data for the month ending 31 August 2011
The monthly data published today gives the waiting times for 15 key diagnostic tests carried out in the NHS.
The data shows the number of patients in England waiting over 6 weeks for any one of the 15 key diagnostics tests at the end of August 2011 was 11,400, an increase of 700 from July 2011, and an increase of 5,500 from August 2010.
