Developing outcomes-based indicators

This event, for commissioners who already get the point of outcomes based commissioning, explains the next steps: how to develop indicators to measure services against the goals set for them.

This event, for commissioners who already get the point of outcomes based commissioning, explains the next steps: how to develop indicators to measure services against the goals set for them.

Outcomes-based approaches demand that patients, clinicians and commissioners work together to agree what services are needed. Developing indicators requires the same level of collaboration and consensus.

Speakers include Professor Matthew Cripps from NHS RightCare, the organisation that has developed Value Packs to help CCGs identify evidence-based opportunities for service improvement, and Dr Rupert Dunbar-Rees from leading practitioner Outcomes Based Healthcare.

The workshop will also be of interest to provider organisations, who will be partners in the design and development of services as well as responsible for their delivery. The workshops will be held on 21 July in Birmingham and 29 July in London.
