Department seeks non executive directors to the NHS Trust Development Authority

The secretary of state for health is seeking to appoint up to four non executive directors to the NHS Trust Development Authority (NHS TDA), one of whom will chair the audit committee and one who will chair the appointments committee.

The Department of Health have recently appointed the chair, Sir Peter Carr, to the NHS TDA which became a special health authority on 1 June 2012. The NHS TDA will play a vital part in laying the foundations for a new health and social care system that will provide essential governance and oversight of NHS trusts that are not yet foundation trusts.
