Dealing with difficult situations – courageous conversations

Sometimes in the workplace we find ourselves in difficult situations with people who appear resistant to what we are trying to do or even hostile. These situations can have a negative impact on our resilience and self-esteem, especially if we feel we did not handle them well.

This online workshop which consists of two sessions is designed to equip all managers and leaders with ideas and techniques to respond effectively in difficult situations and to communicate purposefully through courageous conversations when they are needed. The workshop explores different kinds of behaviour and how to focus on what people are saying, rather than how they are saying it. Participants will reflect on what triggers their own resistance and consider what people need to engage more positively.  The sessions will be held on 7 and 14 April.
