Commissioning Excellence: lungs, veins and a plea for better public health

The latest edition of PCC's monthly bulletin Commissioning Excellence is out now with the usual mix of news, comment and case studies.

The August issue features case studies on integrated care from Brighton and Hove and Staffordshire, a primary care initiative from Buckinghamshire that is breathing new life into respiratory services, and news of practice-based DVT testing in Fareham and Gosport. PCC chair David Colin-Thomé expresses his hope that health and wellbeing boards will empower local communities to take ownership of the public health agenda.
