What sort of entrepreneur would bother to set up a company that they can never sell and that will never pay dividends? It is not the standard business plan, but that is exactly what Jo Pritchard, a former nurse, and Tricia McGregor, a speech therapist, have done. And the idea seems to be catching on.

Three years ago, the two women lifted the nursing and therapy teams out of their area’s NHS primary care trust (PCT), where both held senior positions, and set up a new, employee-owned, not-for-profit business called Central Surrey Health. A full report is on the Telegraph website.
