Children and Young People’s asthma and acute standards

The London Children and Young People’s Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) has published asthma standards for use in all care settings and acute care standards for use in inpatient settings.

The standards aim to address variances in care as described in the Children and Young People’s Strategic Clinical Network (SCN)  Case for Change, setting out clear and transparent standards for commissioning and for providing better outcomes for children and young people across London.

The standards are aimed at all commissioners and providers of acute and asthma services for children and young people. For commissioners, they will enable effective commissioning of services to validate, challenge and quality assure services.  For providers, they offer the opportunity to self assess their delivery of high quality care.
