Better for women: improving the health and wellbeing of girls and women

A survey of more than 3,000 women commissioned by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists found that women are struggling to access health care services locally.

This is due to the underfunding and fragmentation of sexual and reproductive health care services. RCOG’s report recommends more one-stop women’s health clinics, which provide reproductive and sexual health care services – such as contraception, STI testing, cervical screening, and treatment and advice about the menopause. The clinics are more convenient for users and save the NHS money, the report says.
