Accountable care models contract: proposed changes to regulations

NHS England has announced plans to make changes to regulation in efforts to overcome existing obstacles to the use of the accountable care organisations contract.

This is largely to ensure that current rules continue to apply to the new contract, and the organisations using it. It also increases flexibility in some cases, for example for GPs who wish to enter into ACO arrangements without terminating their existing contracts.

NHS England will continue to develop this contract further over the next year, with a view to consulting on a final version in 2018. More....
