2017/18 NHS complaints data return

The NHS has a statutory responsibility to collect service wide information on patient complaints so trends can be identified and the service is shown to be responsive to patient feedback.

The collection period is: Tuesday 8 May and Friday 8 June 2018. For general practice the return will be collected on the primary care website. For dental practices the return will be collected through an online form administered by the NHS Business Services Authority. NHS Digital has published guidance notes on completing the return. A letter with further details has been sent to practices. Should practices have any queries relating to the categorisation of complaints received during the year, contact NHS Digital at enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk.
