Royal college tells hospital doctors to use plain English in letters to patients

The Association of Medical Royal College has issued new guidance aimed at getting outpatient clinics to write letters in plain English.

Clinicians are being encouraged to write directly to patients and send a copy of the letter to the patient's general practitioner.
