Primary medical services – effective decision making

Primary medical services – effective decision making

From 1 April, 52 more CCGs will be taking on delegated responsibility for the commissioning and management of primary medical services. If not handled correctly, any changes agreed in relation to primary medical contracts can be time consuming and costly. In the worst case, poorly informed decisions could be open to challenge.

PCC has more than a decade of experience providing advice to commissioners on the application and appropriate management of primary medical contracts. Our advice supports confident decision-making and helps to prevent unnecessary recourse to legal advice.

This event on 3 May in London, 4 May in Manchester, 24 May in Leeds and 25 May in Birmingham covers the key aspects of the contracts and how to apply the necessary changes. It also highlights the guidance and regulations required to manage and govern these contracts properly.
