As the National Cancer Survivorship

Initiative (NCSI) vision for cancer survivorship begins to become a reality for patients, professionals and commissioners, this conference will explore some of the fundamental

issues and controversies that are beginning to emerge.

The conference will bring delegates together to debate possible solutions.

Key Themes

• In the context of the supported self-management framework, what are the key challenges for patients

living with and beyond cancer?

• What can we learn from Primary Care? What specific challenges are faced by community based services?

• What exactly do we mean by “patient mpowerment”?

• Would such a service model really deliver the supposed economic, clinical and organisational benefits?

• Are services ready to embrace change?

• Is there anything we can learn from other chronic diseases? Or is cancer a special case?

Fee

£175
