From 1 April many primary care organisations will be undergoing major changes in their functions. If not handled correctly any changes agreed in relation to primary medical contracts can be time consuming and costly.

This event covers the key aspects of the contracts and how to apply the necessary changes. It also highlights the guidance and regulations required to manage and govern these contracts properly.

The half-day event is essential for anyone involved in contracting primary medical care services including NHS England primary care teams, CCGs with delegated responsibility for primary care and those preparing for such roles.

It will suit those who are new to contracting roles and staff in need of a refresher.

Delegates will leave the event with a clear understanding of:

  • Overview of current NHS structure
  • Legal context
  • Contracting routes
  • Contracted services
  • Contract performance management
  • Contractor changes
  • Finance
  • QOF
  • Key changes for 2015/16.

* This event is free to attend for subscribers to the Primary Care Commissioning Development programme. For further information contact: dot.walker@pcc.nhs.uk (north, Midlands and east) or claire.peer@pcc.nhs.uk (London and south).
