Dr David Geddes, head of primary care commissioning, NHS England, has formally launched a tool called Primary Medical Services Assurance Framework: web interface.

This is the web based tool that NHS England will be using to assure the quality of GP services and to support CCGs and GP practices in promoting continuous improvements in quality.

While the tool itself is easy to use, PCC has designed an event to help you fully understand the major part it will play in the primary medical services assurance framework.

The agenda for this half-day event will cover:

• How to access and use the tool
• How NHS England will use the tool
• A chance to explore the live data and identify priorities
• How practices and CCGs can use the tool to drive quality and outcomes
• How the data can be used to inform commissioning decisions
• Other data sources that you can use for triangulation purposes
• Electronic annual practice declaration submission.
