Pre-Conference Workshops

BAUN is providing interactive pre-conference workshops to enable specialist nurses access to the theory and practical aspects of training. After some theoretical sessions, there will be hands on experience using the latest technology. These sessions will be supported by trained professionals and company personnel to ensure you get the best experience and advice.

An Introduction to the Male Pelvic Floor: An Expanding Role for Urology Nurse Specialists
Sessions delivered by Mr. Gerard Greene, Specialist in Men’s Health Physiotherapist

This workshop will focus on the assessment and management of the male pelvic floor and its relevance to managing continence and lower urinary tract symptoms in men.

Flexible Cystoscopy Workshop
Sessions delivered by Julia Taylor, BAUN’s President, and Pauline Bagnall, Uro-oncology Nurse Specialist

This workshop will again give both theoretical and practical knowledge in this field of practice.

Workshop fees are £100 for BAUN members and £250 for non-members. These workshops remain fantastic value for money and are consistently well attended and evaluated by participants.

Advanced Practice ED (RED) at BAUN Study Day

The programme is running simultaneously to this year's annual pre-conference workshops and is aimed at urology specialist nurses, nurse practitioners, advanced practitioners, consultant nurses or therapists working in the field of erectile dysfunction.

This day provides a programme featuring expert speakers in the area and is for the more experienced or advanced practitioner already working in the field of erectile dysfunction and wider sexual dysfunction services, focussing on hormone replacement therapy. It is an excellent opportunity for professional updating and education to improve the services you provide for patients. It also brings the environment to meet up with others working in the specialty, creating networking opportunities.

This event is free for all members and non-members to attend.
