Several new and exciting speakers have joined the line-up for this event, which provides inspiring examples for commissioners and leaders of provider organisations involved in the design and implementation of new care models.

They include Allan Johnson, chief executive of The Practice, which started linking surgeries to overcome the limitations of traditional “corner shop” general practice more than a decade ago, long before the current vogue for primary care at scale. The Practice now holds contracts for more than 50 GP surgeries and GP-led health centres.

Alberto De Rosa led the first privately owned hospital in Spain before becoming chief executive of Ribera Salud, which was formed as the country adopted the so-called Alzira model for healthcare management, a form of accountable care organisation.  He has lectured internationally about the Alzira model and his organisation’s part in its development.

It is almost a year since Stockport was named as a vanguard site. Tim Ryley and Ash Patel will talk about the Stockport Together project, which brings together the CCG, council and two acute trusts to develop a plan for integrated and transformed health and care services.
