The North and South London Branches of the Infection Prevention Society (IPS) would like to invite you to attend their 2016 annual conference on Thursday 14th April 2016 at the Imperial College in London.

Programme:

  • Vessel Health: Val Weston, IV Forum Coordinator and Lead Nurse, Infection Prevention & Control, St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
  • A Virus Outbreak: Rebecca Cordrey, Communicable Disease Consultant, Public Health England
  • Research and Clinical Practice: Dr Jacqui Prieto, Associate Professor and Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention, University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
  • Challenges in Mental Health for Infection Control Practitioners: Nicola Sharp, Co-ordinator, IPS Mental Health Special Interest Group
  • E.Coli bacteremia: Martin Kiernan, Visiting Clinical Fellow, Richard Wells Research Centre, University of West London

 

This day will be of interest to infection prevention and control practitioners, link nurses, mental health nurses, IV practitioners, district nurses, care homes and student nurses. This list does not exclude any other healthcare professional with an interest in preventing and controlling infection.

 

Also on offer is access to a large exhibition with a wide range of companies bringing new and innovative products to the market. This event offers valuable learning and an ideal opportunity to socialise with like-minded colleagues and discuss the issues you face on a daily basis.

 

Registration will open at 8:45am, with the first session starting at 9:30am. The day will finish at 3:55pm and lunch and refreshments will be provided.

 

All 70 free IPS member and link nurse places are now fully booked however members can still attend at the non-member rate of £40.
