What is it about?

This dedicated NHS course has been developed to give endoscopy staff a relevant and useful guide to managing and understanding decontamination. If you would benefit from the opportunity to refresh your knowledge of what the guidelines are, what they mean in practice and how they should influence your decision making then this is the event for you.

Previously described as “Very informative and enlightening on what we should be doing!” this unique workshop will illuminate the grey areas for endoscopy decontamination and answer your questions on resolving recurring issues and procedures to follow after non-compliant test results. Take one day out and inform your approach to the technical side of decontamination guidance:

  • Standards, management definition and top 10 tips: clarification for the HTM 01-06 guidance
  • Examples of initiating events and circumstances: how to decide what raised water counts are acceptable
  • Exploring repeatedly raised TVCs and mycobacterium
  • Understanding infection incidents and how guidance and legislation helps
