Following last year's hugely successful event, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is holding another one day conference at the Molineux Conference Centre in Wolverhampton on Wednesday 17th October 2018.

 

This one day conference will be of particular interest to microbiologists, infection prevention nurses, antimicrobial pharmacists, other infection prevention and control personnel, clinical scientists, infectious disease physicians, CCDCs, public health staff, and any other interested healthcare staff.

 

This conference promises to offer delegates the latest in infection prevention and control education and expertise, with inspiring speakers and informative sessions.

 

The Programme will include the following sessions:

  • Innovation and Infection Prevention- what’s the art of the possible? Chris Ramsden
  • Rapid AMR detection, AMR-Technology: Dr Matthew B. Avison, PhD
  • Clinical applications of electrolysed water: Professor Stephanie Dancer
  • VIOLET: Dr Anne Tunbridge 
  • Promoting health workers' ownership of infection prevention and control: Professor Dinah Gould
  • Whole genome sequencing and E.coli/CPE: Dr Mark Garvey
  • Reactive Oxygen – a novel anti-infective: Dr Matthew Dryden
  • Candida auris: Dr Silke Schelenz

 

Registration will open at 8:30am with access to the exhibition and refreshments will be available.

The first session will begin at 9:15am and the day will close at 3:45pm.
