Negotiation is the essential skill for commissioners and providers of health services, the key to providing the best value for money for the taxpayer and the best services for patients.

In this one-day training event you will learn how to make the best of a skill that we possess naturally and yet rarely use to best effect - negotiation.

We use negotiation implicitly in all our business relationships and communications. By becoming more aware of this innate skill we can use it more effectively in procuring health services and negotiating contracts.

Good negotiators assist others to get what they want, while meeting their own agenda.

• Introducing variables and fluency into the negotiation process
• What to do when the process stalls
• 20 strategies that all competent negotiators use sometimes (and how to respond)

The workshops include scenario based exercises where you can practice negotiation techniques and develop your skills.
