This one-day introductory course aims to provide an overview of the practical considerations associated with collecting Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in clinical trials. It’s aimed at research nurses, data managers, and study co-ordinators. In this course, you’ll learn to:

• understand the different types of PROMs and how/when they should be administered
• assist patients completing PROMs and answer common patient questions
• prevent/manage missing data and scoring errors
• support patients in answering sensitive PROM questions
• manage ‘PRO Alerts’ and patient distress
• collect PROM data in different patient groups and settings

The course is taught by Prof Mel Calvert, Dr Thomas Keeley, and Dr Derek Kyte from the University of Birmingham.
