The first Mandate between the Government and the NHS Commissioning Board in 2012 reiterates the importance of influencing greater levels of health equality across the NHS, but two years down the line there are serious question marks around improved health outcomes.
This Westminster Briefing will ask the pressing questions and explore the key local issues creating and supporting disparities across healthcare provision. How can local communications be strengthened? What are the best strategies to address lifestyle challenges? And what can be learnt from local case studies.
Confirmed To Speak:
Jessica Allen, Deputy Director, Institute of Health Equity
Paula Vasco-Knight, National Equality Lead, NHS England
Dr John Middleton, Vice-President, Faculty of Public Health and Director of Public Health, Sandwell
