NHS Network North West London Major Trauma Network
The North West London Major Trauma Network is a hub and spoke model of enhanced trauma care comprised of; St Mary's Major Trauma Centre and 6 Trauma Unit Hospitals across the network; - Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, - Ealing Hospital, - Hillingdon Hospital, - Northwick Park Hospital, - Watford General Hospital, - West Middlesex Hospital. The North West London (NWL) trauma network currently serves around one third of the London Major Trauma conveyances from the joint London Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and London Ambulance Service (LAS) data. The purpose of the North West London Major Trauma Network is to deliver safe, effective Major Trauma care to patients in North West London. The network includes services throughout the whole patient journey including: pre-hospital services, the Major Trauma Centre, other hospitals receiving acute trauma admissions (Trauma Units), and rehabilitation services. The purpose of the North West London Major Trauma Network is to oversee and support the safe, effective delivery of Major Trauma care to patients in North West London. The Network oversight is delivered through the Network Strategy and Governance Board, follows a set agenda looking at significant incidents, risk and governance issues, and performance against clinical indicators.
