About NHS Networks ...
Welcome

NHS Networks is where clinicians, managers, leaders, innovators, Board members, policy makers, as well as patients and communities can all contribute to - and learn from - new thinking and new practice.

Editorial

Welcome to the latest edition of New@Networks, the first under the stewardship of NHS Primary Care Contracting. Edna Robinson outlines the thinking behind the changes in her piece below.

Meanwhile, we would like to reassure readers of the newsletter and the wider community of NHS Networks users that the service will continue to reflect the broad spectrum of interests across the world of healthcare including, but not limited to, primary care.

Your comments, criticisms and suggestions for improvements to the website and newsletter are warmly welcomed. Contact us at editor@networks.nhs.uk

Making better connections

It's good to be talking to you now that NHS Networks and Primary Care Contracting are coming together. Both organisations connect and inform a wide range of people but we believe that bringing some of the back office functions together will be of long term benefit. NHS Networks will still be around to support people who have a sticky issue or a special interest and wish to connect with like minded people and policy makers. Equally people who find Primary Care Contracting useful can now connect to a broader community and vice versa. As ever, this is a challenging and fast moving time. We aim through both organisations to remain useful and supportive to you. As world class commissioning and practice based solutions emerge there will be many questions raised and we hope we are here to help you solve them.

The NHS and its wider partners in local government, social enterprise and other communities more than ever need to be up to date, competent and appraised of and where to get the best advice and support. Please let us have your views on how to make the two sites work together for you and most of all - keep in touch.

Edna Robinson, NHS PCC National Lead for Networks

The next New@Networks will be sent out on 13 November.
