Long term commissioning strategies regional masterclasses

In July 2005 the Better Commissioning Network, working through the Institute for Public Care, began assisting three Local Authorities (Leeds, York and North Yorkshire) to build long term commissioning strategies (at least ten years) which would assist them in thinking about how services may need to alter during this time and create or take opportunities as a result.

The authorities in question will be publishing the resulting documents as exemplars in the autumn and six regional masterclasses have been established to enable others to learn from the experience.

The strategies have been written with varying degrees of partnership with Health, Housing and independent providers and, with the publication of the White paper during the process, other partnerships have been explored. The masterclases will allow the participating authorities to explain their individual journeys and IPC will give an overview of the lessons learned.

These events are intended for commissioning managers. You can book a free place on one of the following dates at a venue near you. Please note that the London venues will only accept applications from those working in the South East and London area due to likely pressure of numbers. Each Masterclass will only accommodate 60 people.

To book your place please email your name, post title, employing organisation and a contact telephone number to info@eventdotorg.co.uk .

Full details of venue and times will be sent in due course.
