Conference: Minding the Gap: Achieving Integrated Care. NAPC 2008 Autumn Annual Conference
19 to 20 November 2008, Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool
The National Association of Primary Care (NAPC) are hosting the largest GP-led, practice business event focusing on World class Commissioning for primary care. World class commissioning will have a direct impact on the health and well-being of the population, driving unprecedented improvements in patient outcomes and ensuring the NHS remains one of the most progressive and high-performing health systems in the world.
Ultimately, world class commissioning will deliver better well-being for all, better care for all and better value for all. A shift from traditional models of commissioning will be required. Local partners, including primary care trusts, patients, the public, local authorities, clinicians and providers will need to develop open and innovative partnerships to deliver the best possible care services for the local community. Together, they will make informed choices about local priorities and how best to deliver them.
The conference will enable delegates to:
-
Gain a clear understanding of the requirements of world class commissioning
-
Gain a clear insight into how to bridge gaps in provision of clinical, administrative and management services in moving towards a world class NHS
-
Learn of practical and replicable examples, facilitating the integration of services
-
Address the issues which impact on health inequalities and outcomes
-
Explore new developments in integrating care across a range of services, including dermatology, vascular care, diabetes and urology
Further information about the conference and booking information are available via the NAPC website.
