Handbook: How to Achieve World Class Commissioning Competencies
Practical tips for NHS Commissioners
As part of the World Class Commissioning Programme, PCTs will be undertaking the first round of the Assurance System in autumn 2008. They will be assessed against the 11 competencies for World Class Commissioning. The purpose of this guide is to offer 'tips' to help PCTs progress to achieving the competencies.
Each section sets out practical tips for achieving the competency, has sources of advice and further information, gives information for each competency – including its success indicators and criteria and has supporting evidence required for the competency.
