Various conference dates in December
The RCN are holding a number of events in December 2008. Details of these events are listed below.
RCN Nephrology Nursing Forum workshops
4 December 2008, RCN Northern Ireland, 17 Windsor Avenue, Belfast, BT9 6EE
These workshops will use a range of interactive approaches such as patient stories, case studies and quizzes. The key themes of the workshops include, Patient safety e.g. infection control, adverse clinical incidents, Patients’ journey e.g. medicine management, anaemia management, patient choice, Accessing data to inform practice e.g. Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), NICE, Renal Registry

RCN Dermatology conference and exhibition: Skin care is everyone's business
5 December 2008, RCN HQ, 20 Cavendish Sq, London W1G 0RN
This conference is for all nurses for whom skin care is a priority issue. It will be of prime interest to wound care nurses, tissue viability nurses as well as traditional dermatology nurses. Speakers will include those who have specialist knowledge of wound healing tissue viability and skin conditions affecting all ages.
RCN Conference for directors of nursing and nurse leaders: Leading nursing for quality care- policy and practice

This one day conference for Directors of Nursing and Nurse Leaders brings together key stakeholders in care quality to consider the nursing perspective and contribution. The topics covered include the development and use of nursing metrics, the role and value of nurses in society, and the role of the new Care Quality Commission.
RCN Outpatients Nursing Forum conference and exhibition
