Background and objective
'Managing the Consequences of Adverse Incidents' is a THOTH funded project, which has been designed to identify areas of good practice as well as gaps in the management process following an Adverse Incident within the NHS. During the first part of this project, research was undertaken to identify the main issues affecting those involved.
This series of workshops has been designed to enable NHS and patient groups and other organisations to work together to share ideas and experience, and create solutions to some of the difficulties faced by patients, staff and organisations when an adverse incident has occurred.
The programme for the day will cover:
-
Presentations from NHS and linked organisations
-
Presentations from those affected by medical harm and other patients
-
Workshop sessions aimed at finding solutions to some of the issues raised
-
Registration and coffee at each event will be at 09.30 for a 10.00 start. Each event will close at approximately 16.15.
