The West Yorkshire Approach to Diagnostic Services
Changes in service delivery must place the patient at the centre of the provision of care.But as well as improvements in individual diagnostic departmentswe need comprehensive modernisation of whole systems across West Yorkshire.Patient choice, plurality and access, Payment by Results, Connecting for Health, Agenda for Change, and the new consultant and GP contracts - all help us to provide diagnostics and treatment closer to the patient, quicker access, and redesign of job roles to help recruit and retain staff.
The West Yorkshire Diagnostics Strategy adopts the principles agreed by the West Yorkshire Chief Executive Forum (WYCEF) to deliver the Integrated Services Strategy.
