North West Clinical Midwives R&D Network

The network is set up to provide practical collaboraton between clinical sites and the University of Central Lancashire to identify clinically important research questions, and to design and run research to answer those questions.

The network was set up in 2003. Currently it comprises clinical midwife members from the following NHS Trusts:

The group have undertaken four research studies, two of which have been published. Papers reporting on the other studies are currently with reviewers, and the next round of studies is currently being planned.
