"The process may seem a little daunting to begin with - but once you have prepared your first programme you realise that it is makes perfect sense, and is just what we need within the NHS".

About ISIP

The NHS Integrated Service Improvement Programme (ISIP) sets out how the NHS can align local efforts to exploit the opportunities to use people, process and technology differently, to deliver better services to patients.

It encourages health and social care organisations to work together within their Local Health Communities to identify common goals, align the change programmes and achieve transformational change.

This integrated approach is essential in delivering the quality and efficiency improvements required to support future funding commitments. ISIP will show how Local Delivery Plan commitments will be met and how expected Gershon ‘Productive Time’ efficiencies can be achieved.

The extra dimension of ISIP is Benefits Realisation. This sytematically ensures that the benefits of improvements – to patients, communities and staff – really do flow as intended.

"After sharing the ISIP principles within my organisation, I an now receiving calls and requests asking if I will help other colleagues go through the process, as they have seen the benefits for their own area of work"
