Eastern Paediatric Epilepsy Network

The Eastern Paediatric Epilepsy Network is a support network for clinicians with an interest in childhood epilepsy from across the Eastern Region.

The network aims to encourage and support children's epilepsy teams with a view to inproving and sustaining quality epilepsy care across the region. Membership includes consultant paediatricians (hospital and community based), paediatric neurologists, specialist nurses, neurophysiologists, adult neurologists and trainees from various specialities.

The Network meets three times per year - usually at Wolfson College, Cambridge. There are peer review case discussions and guideline development meetings. Details of upcoming meetings and agreed guidelines will be added to this website.

The April edition of the drug safety update makes recommendations on the use of certain AEDs in immobile patients. You can view this here by opening the April 09 update.

Clinical Guidelines
Please note. These guidelineshave been written and reviewed by members of the Eastern Paediatric Epilepsy Network and are believed to be accurate at the time of writing. They are intended to form the basis of guidelines specific to the various trusts and PCTs across the eastern region. Before local adoption these guidelines should be assessed and approved by the guideline development apparatus of each organisation.
