National Stroke Nursing Forum
A national network forum for nurses with an interest in stroke.
Functions of the National Stroke Nursing Forum:
- To provide a forum for discussion between all nurses in the UK with an interest in stroke.
- To enable sharing of best practice and provide opportunities for bench marking.
- To facilitate the dissemination of evidence based guidelines.
- To provide a forum to discuss research that advances the discipline of stroke nursing.
- To facilitate the development of a career pathway for nurses in the field of stroke.
- To act as a platform to express the collective views and experiences of members.
There are three main Steering Groups, initially made up of nurses who have expressed an interest in helping to set up the forum. These three groups will focus on the following areas:
- Networking and Communication
- Research, Development and Education
- Policy and Service Development
Collectively these groups will provide members with up to date information around all these areas of practice.
